Recently, the fourth Shanghai Jinqiao Intelligent Manufacturing Summit in 2023 was successfully held in Jinding Peace Education Complex. The forum focused on intelligent production technologies such as new energy and semiconductors, and discussed how to use advanced technologies such as big data, digitalization, and the Internet of Things to improve production efficiency and quality. Jiang Zulong, Manufacturing Innovation Management Department of Omron Automation (China) Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Omron"), attended and delivered a keynote speech, sharing industrial trends in the field of intelligent manufacturing and Omron's cutting-edge technologies and solutions in the field of segmentation.

The summit was jointly guided by the Science, Technology and Economy Commission of Shanghai Pudong New Area and the Management Committee of Shanghai Jinqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, and co-hosted by Shanghai Jinqiao (Group) Co., LTD and Shanghai Kumo Robot Co., LTD. The application of manufacturing innovation created by the concept conforms to the trend and corresponds to user needs and social changes at different stages.
The necessary upgrading and improvement measures for production activities closely related to the production site are the embodiment of intelligent manufacturing. Omron focuses on five application scenarios, namely lean production, warehousing and logistics, intelligent vision,
digital services and energy management. Among them, lean production is the core advantage of Omron, based on the accumulation of experience in their own factories, the formation of a set of methods dedicated to production site improvement, can be used in a variety of application scenarios. In terms of lean production practice, Omron Shanghai plant realizes the overall visualization of the production line through real-time data collection and analysis, controls the QCD in the production process, and achieves the quality defect rate of "0".
Under the trend of intelligent manufacturing and informatization, a large amount of data is generated. How to make data generate value is the issue facing the manufacturing industry. Jiang Zulong introduced that the on-site data utilization service "i-BELT" provided by Omron is a co-creation service by utilizing the data of the manufacturing site, visualizing and analyzing the collected data, and then feeding back to the control method to solve the problem.
