The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I2 is an analog I/O module. The module is an enhanced thermocouple analog input module. It has six (6) independently isolated thermocouple inputs and two CJC inputs. The thermocouple types compatible with this module are B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, and L (TXK/XK). This module is installed on any ControlLogix chassis. It requires a detachable terminal to connect signal wiring, specifically, only the 1756-TBNH is compatible with this module. The 1756-IT6I2 module has an operating input range and resolution of -12 to 78 microvolts (1.4 microvolts per bit) and -12 to 30 mV (the maximum resolution range is 0.7 microvolts per bit) and 16-bit resolution, respectively. It has an input impedance of more than 10MOhms and a maximum overvoltage protection of 120 volts AC/DC. The backplane has a total power and maximum power consumption of 4.6Watt. The thermocouple is linearized to ITS-90 with an offset drift of 0.5 microvolts/Celsius. It also has a build up time greater than 80 ms to 5% of full scale and a channel bandwidth of 15 Hz. The heat dissipation is 15.7 BTU/ hour. The 1756-IT6I2 has an open detection time with a positive full scale reading of 2 seconds. In normal mode, the integrated noise suppression is 60 dB at 60 Hz, while in common mode, the differential resistance is 100 Ω when tested at 600 V AC/60 Hertz. This module allows you to select data formats, such as integer or floating-point mode. Additional features of the 1756-IT6I2 module include cold end compensation, multiple input ranges, temperature units, notch filters, sensor types, real-time sampling, line break detection, underrange/overrange detection, 10 ohm offset, digital filters (available only in applications using floating-point mode), rate alarm, and process alarm.
