The Allen-Bradley 1756-PA50 is a ControlLogix standard power supply. This power supply is primarily used to power ControlLogix racks, whether local or distributed I/O racks. It is mounted on the far left side of the case and has an input voltage range of 85-265VAC and is rated 120V/240VAC.

The 1756-PA50 is compatible with various ControlLogix chassis, such as the 1756-A4, 1756-A7, 1756-A10, 1756-A13, and 1756-A17. Compatible chassis versions include the A, B, and C series.

The 1756-PA50 has an input power requirement of 81 W/91VA @ 50 °C (122 °F) 68 W/77VA @ 60 °C (140 °F) and a maximum output power of 60 W @ 0-50 °C (+32... +122 °F) and 50 W @ 0-60 °C (+32... +140 °F), capable of withstanding A 20 A surge current rating.

The 1756-PA50 is designed for use as a system power supply. It cannot be used to provide voltage and power to electrical equipment, nor can it distribute output through terminal blocks. When connecting the input wire to this power supply module, the appropriate wire size is 2.5 mm square or 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire with an insulation rating of 90 °C (194 °F), or higher, and an insulation thickness of 1.2 mm (3/64 inch).
