The Allen-Bradley 1756-TBSH provides a flexible connection between the 1756 I/O module and factory wiring. It is an I/O module attachment that needs to be ordered separately from the module. This 20-pin spring clamp RTB comes with a standard housing. It is part of the Bulletin 1756 detachable terminal line and plugs into the front of the ControlLogix I/O module. It is compatible with selected 1756 series AC digital inputs, AC digital outputs, analog inputs, analog RTDS and thermocouples, analog outputs, and dedicated I/O modules.
The 1756-TBSH detachable terminal comes with a standard housing, a combination that allows a wire capacity of up to 336 sq.mm. It is suitable for 0.33-2.1 mm2 (22-14 AWG) solid or stranded copper wire rated at 90 °C (194 °F) or higher with a maximum insulation of 1.2 mm (3/64 inch). The standard depth case measures 147.91 mm (5.823 in) from the front of the module to the rear of the case. It is not recommended to connect multiple wires to any single terminal.
The 1756-TBSH is designed to support RIUP - power off and insertion. However, extreme care should be taken when using live power, which can be dangerous to the installer and the system. Possible hazards include injury, loss of process control and accidental machine movement. It is recommended to disconnect the power supply before installation.
