Rockwell Automation is compatible with the series 1762 MicroLogix
The 1762sc-IF8U is an 8-input module belonging to the Micrologix family. The module is manufactured and designed by Spectrum controls. The 1762s-IF8U supports eight (8) channels, compatible with voltage, current, and thermocouple inputs. If input D is configured, a maximum of (4) channels can be configured. It can withstand a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and operating vibrations of 10 to 500 Hertz. It can be used at a maximum altitude of 2,000 meters. If the altitude is higher, the drive must be downgraded.
The 1762s-IF8U is similar to other 1762 expansion modules in that it needs to be properly connected to the grounding system. This will help prevent electromagnetic interference that affects each channel. The module is designed for mounting on DIN rails or mounting plates. If required, additional connections to the module must be made via its DIN rail. Extra space must be left between the module and other equipment, as this will help it to have better ventilation. When installing the 1762s-IF8U, the cable must be as short as possible to maintain maximum accuracy. The module should be as close as possible to the input device to ensure accurate operation.
The 1762sc-IF8U is a third-party expansion module for the MicroLogix programmable logic controller. The module is manufactured by Allen-Bradley's partner company, Spectrum Controls. The module has eight (8) input channels compatible with voltage, current, and thermocouple inputs, and four (4) channels for resistance temperature detectors (RTDS).
The module supports multi-channel configurations such as eight (8) channels following voltage/current/thermocouple configurations, six (6) channels configured for voltage/current/thermocouple, one (1) channels configured for RTD/ resistance, and one (8) channels configured for voltage/current/thermocouple. Four (4) channels are configured for voltage/current/thermocouple and two (2) channel RTDS/resistors, two (2) channel voltage/current/thermocouples and three (3) channel RTDS/resistors and four (4) channel RTDS/resistors.
