Desciption
The Allen-Bradley 1769-ECR is a right end cover (ECR) module for the CompactLogix controller family. The module acts as a bus terminator, terminating the FlexBus circuit to signal the end of the CompactLogix component. This module is required to determine the CompactLogix configuration. The 1769-ECR has a current consumption of 5 mA at 5.1 VDC. It operates at a height of 2,000 meters or 6,562 feet and weighs about 130 grams or 0.286 pounds. It has an open housing rating and an operating temperature of 0-60 °C or 32-140 °F, while a storage temperature of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F), a relative humidity of 5-95%, and no condensation. It must be installed in a position where the vibration does not exceed 5 g and 10-500 Hz. The DIN rail has an operating impact rating of 20g when installed and the CompactLogix system has an operating impact rating of 30g when mounted directly on the cabinet. The 1769-ECR can only be installed or removed when the system power is disconnected. Removing or inserting while powered on can cause controller errors and stops, which is undesirable, especially for a functioning and active operating system. To install the 1769-ECR, the bus pole must be lifted from its engaging position. Once this is done, align the ECR module with the guide slot, then gently push the ECR module until it is next to and aligned with the CompactLogix module. The bus pole has been engaged to connect the ECR module and turn off the FlexBus. If resistance is felt during busbar engagement, check that the ER is properly aligned with the module and guide slot.

The Allen-Bradley 1769-ECR is a right end cap or terminator for terminating the communications bus end of the 1769 controller. At 5V DC voltage, the maximum bus current consumption is 5 mA. It has an operating height of 6,562 feet and a shipping weight of about 0.286 pounds. It has an open housing to ensure safety, and it can adapt to certain conditions to reduce the risk of fire and injury. In order to meet health and safety requirements, the 1769-ECR should be installed with IP54 protection when applied in Zone 2 environments, as it has no tolerance to sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet radiation. The 1769-ECR operates at 32-140 degrees Fahrenheit and has been tested in cold, dry heat and thermal shock environments. It has a non-operating temperature of 40-185 degrees Fahrenheit and is unpackaged and tested during cold, dry heat and thermal shock. In addition, the 1769-ECR, which has a non-condensing relative humidity of 5-95% and whose vibration reaches 5 g at 10-500 Hz, was tested during operation. It has a working impact of 20 g on DIN rail mounts and 30 g on panel mounts. Its non-working impact is 30 g on DIN rail and 40 g on panel mount.
