Desciption
The 2097-V33PR5 is a single-axis servo drive that is part of the Kinetix 300 Ethernet I/P indexing servo drive. As part of the Kinetix 300 drive, it can be installed in applications with smaller control shafts, thus helping to improve overall cost effectiveness. With a built-in Ethernet I/P interface, it supports modern connectivity to existing Ethernet I/P networks, simplifying integration.

The 2097-V34PR5 operates when external AC input voltage is 480VAC, 3-phase. The drive incorporates safe torque off (STO). Its continuous output current and power are 5.7A and 2.0kW respectively. When installed, the minimum mounting clearance required for the 2097-V34PR5 is 3 mm or 0.12 inch side clearance and 25 mm or 1.0 inch top and bottom clearance for air flow and installation. When the inverter is installed next to noise sensitive devices or equipment, an additional 150 mm (6.0 in) clearance must be added. Additional clearance is also required, depending on the attachment installed with the drive.

Embedded interfaces on the servo driver front panel include Ethernet communication ports, shunt resistor and DC bus (BC) connectors, motor feedback (MF) connectors, I/O (IOD) connectors, and backup power (BP) connectors.

The Kinetix 300 index servo drive uses a single standard communication network for quick and easy configuration, commissioning and start-up. With the 2097-V34PR5, the entire control solution can be integrated via EtherNet/IP. This includes HMI, I/O, Programmable Automation controllers (PACs) and motion control. In addition, there is no need to add a dedicated motion control network. The simplified network topology reduces panel layout requirements and overall system costs, while maintaining excellent reliability and high-speed connectivity. The 2097-V34PR5 is capable of performing five different indexing types and supports up to 32 indexing for position control performance. This makes it ideal for the construction of indexing tables, intermittent horizontal and vertical forming/filling/sealing machines, simple drum machines, packing and erecting machines, feeding and recharging equipment, tool changing machinery and automatic assembly equipment. For increased productivity and safety, the Kinetix 300 servo drive incorporates a safety shut-off function. This allows troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to be completed safely and successfully without having to disconnect the power to the entire machine. When the circuit trips, the driver output can be disabled without danger. This reduces machine downtime and speeds up restarts.
