Desciption
The 4119A is a TRICONEX product with functional safety certification that provides machine manufacturers with a reliable, proven safety solution for emergency stop and precision hold applications. These spring-engaged, air-released rod locks are compatible with almost any air cylinder or circular shaft and track.

In addition, the TRICONEX 4119A product is the first in North America to receive the Intertek Functional Safety (FS) mark and has been certified to ISO 13849-1 (Class B to 4 and PLa to PLe performance grades).

Model 4119A Enhanced Intelligent Communication Module (EICM) allows Tricon to communicate with Modbus master and slave stations 1131, as well as printers.
For Modbus connections, EICM users can choose between RS-232 point-to-point [] as a master and a slave, or RS-485 as a C] as a master and up to 32 slaves. RS-485 network
The relay can be one or two twisted pairs and can be up to 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) long.
Each EICM contains four serial ports and one parallel port, allowing concurrent operations. Each serial port can be configured as a Modbus host, and up to 7 Modbus host chassis can be configured per Tricon. A Tricon system supports a maximum of two EICMs, which must be located in one logical slot.

(The EICM does not support hot backup, but you can replace the faulty EICM when the controller is online.) Each serial port is a unique address and supports either Modbus or trstation interfaces. Modbus supports both RTU and ASCII modes. The parallel port provides Centronics connections [to printers]. Each EICM supports a total data rate of 57.6 kbit/s (for all four serial ports).
