The 5069-L330ERMS2 is a compact GuardLogix 5380 controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is a secure controller with flexibility and scalability and is classified as a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). The safety controller has an SIL 2 rating and is suitable for applications where both control and integration safety requirements need to be met.

The 5069-L330ERMS2 is designed to be used as both a standard controller and a safety controller. For standard features, the security controller has 3 MB of standard user memory and 1.5 MB of dedicated security memory. It also has a 2GB non-volatile memory that comes with the controller via a 1784-SD2 secure digital (SD) card.

The controller also supports integrated motion over Ethernet I/P, where up to 256 motion axes and up to sixteen (16) Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) drive axes can be configured. This motion capability is achieved through a dual Ethernet I/P interface that supports linear, star, and ring topologies with communication speeds of 10/100 Mbps and 1 Gbps. This USB port cannot be used for industrial communications.

The controller supports 31 standard tasks and 1 security task in continuous, periodic, and event-triggered tasks. Up to 1000 programs can be processed per task using all triggers. It supports up to 31 local I/O modules, which can be a combination of compact 5000 I/O and secure I/O modules.

The controller is manufactured as an open device, which means it does not have any built-in protection against harmful substances such as water, chemicals and debris. The manufacturer recommends that the 5069-L330ERMS2 controller be protected by mounting the 5069-L330ERMS2 controller in a rated housing to ensure its safety in specific environments.

The CompactLogix 5069-L330ERMS2 controller can operate in a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and can be transported and stored in a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius or -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. It operates best in environments with relative humidity levels of 5 to 95 percent and no condensation, and can also be safely stored and transported at these relative humidity levels. The 5069-L330ERMS2 controller can withstand shocks of up to 30 g when in operation and up to 50 g when not in operation. The controller has been rated by ATEX, North American and IECEx temperature specifications and has received T3 ratings for all 4 temperature specifications.
