​​The AO820 analog output module has 4 bipolar analog output channels. The choice of current or voltage outputs can be configured for each channel. There is a separate set of terminals for voltage and current outputs, and the user needs to connect the outputs correctly. The only difference between current or voltage channel configurations is the software setup.
​To supervise communication with A/D converter, the output data is read back and verified. Open circuit diagnostic information is also read continuously. If the voltage disappears, the process voltage monitoring input will give a channel error signal. The error signal can be read by the ModuleBus.
