The GE IC670ALG310 module is a voltage source analog output module. It is designed with 8 different voltage output channels that can be automatically scaled according to the operator's configuration. The module takes inputs from the bus interface unit connected to it and enhances the calibration data and converts the data into an output voltage in the range -10 to +10 V. The IC670ALG310 output module has enhanced diagnostic capabilities. It easily detects out-of-range and under-range conditions, user power losses and uncalibrated modules. The output module also has an alert function, which allows users to set alerts for different events. When the output value does not meet the 50 millivolts requirement of the module's maximum or minimum output setting, the module will treat it as below range and over range.

The IC670ALG310 output module is compact and suitable for tight Spaces. For input data, 0 to 8 words of analog output data, 0 to 3 bytes of module and channel status input data, and 0 to 2 bytes of output data are required to clear the alarm. All data exchange takes place between the output module and the bus interface unit. The IC670ALG310 output module has a "channel activity" function that allows operators to configure individual channels as active or inactive. The module also has a local output default that helps to configure data to default Settings, or to configure module data in the bus interface unit to zero. The module absorbs 170 mA of current from the bus interface. The module resolution is 14 bits and the magnitude data size is 14 bits.
